This is a pretty awesome visualization! How about an overall visualization, like "light color and level" that'll encompass the overall tone of the color of the lightsource. For example:
[GRAY BOX] This is Los Angeles during day time. In smog.
[BLACK BOX] This is Los Angeles at night time. In smog.
