QWERTY blues

My keyboards fail in mysterious ways. After a firmware "upgrade", the Bluetooth keyboard that came with my computer started to generate five garbage keystrokes about every twentieth keypress. I tried to ignore the problem in the hope it will go away. The most annoying part was when backspace generated yet another set of junk characters.

In a box in the closet, I found a replacement. It seemed to work ok. Turns out it has a subtler problem: the "left arrow" and "down arrow" keys don't work; everything else is fine. Over the last two weeks, I watched my brain rewire itself to avoid hitting those two keys. Who needs arrows in vi anyway?

I'll get off my butt and buy a new keyboard today. Should I get two?
